Took a shower before going in to volunteer at the library tonight. Had run out of the facial cream I had been using so opened up a bottle of something new. Everything was fine until I drove into town. One of my eyes began to burn. I made it through the turnover from the afternoon volunteer. However, soon afterward both eyes were burning. I knew what had happened. I had found out years ago when I still was working at the dairy that my eyes are very sensitive to something in suntan lotion and I bet this new facial cream has it. I was able to do all the tasks required tonight at the library though through squinty eyes. Fortunately it was a quiet night at the library and no one came in during my shift. I've cleaned my face a couple of times now that I'm home but it will just take a little time for my eyes to stop burning. A good excuse to go to bed early.
