Sunrise - December 10
Whip is still housed in the foyer. We go out for multiple walks during the day and for a couple of hours Whip comes in to the house proper to run around in the evening. I announce before hand "Dog in the House" and the cats disappear. While we are in the house, Whip and I go over her training (she knows six commands), we play the 'find' game, and she then usually settles down w/ me on the couch to watch TV. I didn't notice anything was amiss this evening until I heard Whip barking and a cat hissing. Dunder streaked past me and up over the couch. I grabbed Whip as she tried to follow. Dunder ran back into my study and through the cat door into the utility room. Since I had hold of Whip I checked that she was unharmed by her cat encounter. She had three white specks on her face that I couldn't just wipe away. I checked closer. They were the sheaths from cat claws that were stuck in Whip's hair. I'm sure that the dog and cats will come to an 'understanding' - eventually.
