Turtlehead flowers in the swamp

 Excerpts from the Sheriff's Report:

12:30 a.m. - Suspicious vehicle by the park.  Determined the individuals were deer watching.

5:19 a.m. - Report of a truck and trailer in a driveway, yard torn up and a male driver passed out behind the wheel with an AR-style weapon.  Driver was arrested for third offense OWI.

7:41 a.m. - Suspicious man claiming to be an undercover cop in a red minivan.  Man was advised he cannot say he is an officer.

8:01 a.m. - Report of an ex-husband sitting in his car and playing music for his ex-wife at her cabin.  Determined he locked his keys in the car, walked for help and fell asleep under a pine tree.

10:30 a.m. - Report of a large number of people burning an American flag in the parking lot of the Fire Department.  Determined to be a ceremony to properly retire an American flag.

11:04 a.m. - Report of a 17 year old daughter trying to leave but her mom won't let her leave.  Daughter told the officer she did not like being told what to do.

11:25 a.m. - Suspicious person laying in the roadway.

11:53 a.m. - Welfare check for someone who said 'I love you'.

12:45 p.m. - Suspicious male looking in a vehicle in the parking lot.  Determined the man was walking around the vehicle to get to his vehicle.

3:19 p.m. - Man requesting to be revoked and placed in jail because he cannot figure out what to do with his life.

3:42 p.m. - Harassment by an ex-wife who attempted to run a citizen over.

3:45 p.m. - Report of someone in the County Circuit Court room having a behavioral outburst.

5:05 p.m. - Report of a motor home missing a tire and doors traveling 3 mph on the road.  [I actually saw this motor home going past my house.]

5:56 p.m. - Report of loud gun shots near a boat landing.  Determined to possibly be from a baptism.

6:41 p.m. - Trespassing by a family caught on trail cameras.

11:46 p.m. - Strange and suspicious noises coming from a basement reported.  Determined to be a squirrel.
