Ramp

Indy and I were out for our walk when I got a call from my neighbor Doug.  He wanted to let me know he'd seen a tree swallow sunning itself atop the bird house posts.  Guess I'll be putting up bird houses tomorrow.  He also said he'd found wild leeks in his woods.  I thought it was pretty early for them but Indy and I changed route and walked through areas where I knew they grew.  I didn't see any.  Finally I stopped walking and looked around.  There almost right at my feet was a bunch of bright green sprouts. Magically I could then pick out clumps of ramp (a/k/a wild leeks) all around me.  Spring plants making an appearance just in time for Easter.
