White Birch and Oak

Dunder and Blitzen are very different cats.   I've been training them to use a scratching box in the dining room.  Blitzen finally got the idea and a few times a day she'll go to the box, scratch, and look around for her treat.  Dunder watches her and certainly likes the idea of a treat but hasn't yet put the two acts together.  His thing is to figure out ways to sneak outside.  Blitz likes the idea of outside but hangs back long enough that she usually doesn't make it out before the door is closed.  This morning they both got out onto the deck.  Temp in the 20's.  Dunder bounced around through the frosty grass exuberant that he'd escaped.  Blitz ran the length of the deck and then right back to the warm inside of the house.  It took another fifteen minutes before Dunder decided he'd had enough of the cold and consented to be picked up and brought inside.  They are both now sleeping in a corner of the sofa awash in sunlight - an 'activity' they do have in common.
