Siding the soffits and fascias. It's an uncomplicated roof line so they got it done quickly even though each piece had to be cut and fitted. The contractor told me early on that it was code to have lights at each door. Seemed odd to me - a logical thing to do but a requirement? I suppose someone stumbled into a door frame in the dark and decided there ought to be a law. The builder suggested sconces on either side of the opening but I'm a big believer that outside lights should be pointed down. He left an opening for the electrician to put a light in the soffit above the work room door and he's marked a spot for the light above the garage door.
