Spring doesn't come immediately and some signs of it are more welcome than others. Lots of melting but the rivers are still within their banks here. The house sparrows arrived looking for digs for the summer. Since I don't want them around I'll leave the bird houses open for awhile yet. There are some open areas in the field and I know that I need to wait until the bare spots start to connect but Indy and I went out for a short walk anyway. I had to lead when the snow got too deep for her. Water sometimes pools under a cover of snow. By the time we got home my boots were full of slush. Had a great time.
