U - Silhouette

We can pretty much pinpoint when this word came into the English language.  It was in the 18th century and was named after a French finance minister Etienne de Silhouette.  What isn't known is why it was named after him.

Picked up two boxes waiting for me at the Post Office.   I should look back over my records and check if I order on-line stuff more in the winter than any other season.  Something about the boxes reminded me of when I could move by just packing up the car and my most valuable possession was books.  When did I have time to amass a house full of stuff?  Suppose it's just one of those old age things.
