Nancy and I had a lot to discuss after the sermon this morning. The pastor is planning two years of sermons going through the entire Bible. Nancy, as I said, just finished reading through the Bible last year and is planning on doing it all over again this year. Both of us are excited to listen to sermons from the minor prophets (can't remember when I last heard a sermon from Haggai). I finished the book "Lost Christianities" over Thanksgiving and have just started "The Fall of Pagans and the Origins of Mideval Christianity" so am eager to hear his take on how various books were accepted into the Bible's canon. Can't say I agreed w/ everything the pastor said today but, also as I've indicated before, I think that's a hallmark of a good sermon.
