A - Easter eggs

This time of year is beautiful in the Northwoods but you need to like snow.  So for January and at least part of February I'm posting pictures of the alphabet of silent letters: words that contain a letter which does not correspond to any sound in the pronunciation.   I will play fast and loose w/ my theme.  Sometimes there are other pronunciations which do include the letter's sound, sometimes the letter is dropped just in a regional dialect, and sometimes ... well you'll see.  Today's letter is the 'A' in the word 'Easter'.  Easter is an Old English word dating back to the 12th century.
