Old moon in the New moon's arms

My friend Kathy visited an observatory last week in Texas and e-mailed that she had viewed M27, M57, and M31 (Dumbbell nebula, Ring nebula, and Andromeda Galaxy respectively).   I figured the nebula would be too close to the horizon for me to see at my much more northern latitude.  Tonight was the first really clear night since then so I took a look.  Nope. I can still see the Summer Triangle!   The constellations of Lyra, Aquila, and Cygnus make up the points of the triangle and Vulpecula trots through the middle of it.   So even this late in the season and this far north M27 in Vulpecula and M57 in Lyra would be visible (if I had a telescope strong enough to see them).  Also helps when there is only a 5% moon.
