Make a note of this date. Leaves are turning (but not yet the aspen which will be the last). Birds are migrating through on their way to warmer climes. My potted flowers are still outside (yes, we had that killing frost when I took them in but tomorrow's temps will be in the 70's.) Halloween is four weeks away. Yet, what did I see today? The first Christmas advertisement of the season.
