Eastern Bluebird

Washed a load of clothes and hung them outside on the line to dry.  Temp was right around freezing but there was a good wind to help the process along.  I saw a pair of bluebirds.  Always thought they were strictly carnivorous so there wouldn't be anything around for them to eat this time of year.  Then I realized they were eating left over grapes.   Looked on-line. Turns out there are a number of birds that eat fruit when insects aren't available.  While checking on this, it started snowing.  Even though it snowed for the rest of the afternoon it only accumulated on my clothes out on the line.  I waited until around 3 p.m. and then took them in. They had dried but, since I had to shake snow off them, I gave them a tumble in the dryer.  Lots still to do outside to get ready for winter.  Guess those things need to get done sooner than later.
