Leopard Frog
I stopped the car at the end of my driveway, looked both ways, and stared in amazement. There was a woman walking on the road around 20 feet away. People walking on the road might be a fairly common sight in urban areas but in the country, not so much. Sometimes I see highschool kids running by the side of the road for track practice but never this far out. Besides, she wasn't dressed for a run. In addition, I live at the top of a hill so the lady had chosen to walk up quite a long steep grade to get this far. Because of the omnipresent cell phone, rarely see anyone walking due to their car breaking down. I must have stared too long 'cause she smiled and waved at me. Guess there are all types of people - some like to walk roads and some like to walk swamps.
