I'm watching the Great Courses series "The History of Ancient Egypt."  I get it through the library and it's a series of DVD's w/ a book.   I'd been thinking that I'd like to take some more college courses now that I have time but I chose to live in an area where the nearest university is some distance away.  These Great Courses are the next best thing.  They pick the most engaging teachers for each course of study and I can watch on my timetable.  This afternoon I listened to classes on 'The first people of Egypt', 'Mythology', 'Religion', and 'Philosophical Thought'.  Just like being back in college ... even to the point where I nodded off during 'Napoleon and the beginning of Egyptology'.
