Tamerack cones
Got another e-mail from Subaru requesting that I take a survey on my buying experience. I used to enjoy taking surveys because I thought they could be a useful tool to the company but not anymore. I've had everyone from the guy that installed my new microwave to the medical clinic where I get my physicals let me know that I'll be receiving a survey within a week and would I please give them all 10's (i.e. top marks). That would mean I received exceptional service and, while I have no complaints about any of them, what's wrong w/ saying they were average? I got exactly what I paid for. To me exceptional service would be throwing in a small box of chocolates, a bouquet of flowers, and half off my bill. I've been told if service personnel don't receive perfect scores on their performance surveys it is reflected in their bonus. However giving all 10's skews the results and gives no useful feedback to the company so I just stopped returning them. Of course, my not replying also adds an element of perturbation to the numbers. Anyway, I like the car and I got reasonable service but I expect chocolate and flowers before I'll fill out their survey.
