We've got a week of above normal temps (40's during the day). I'm taking advantage of it by washing the autumn throws, towels, quilts, etc. before packing them away and bring out the winter stuff. (Really enjoy changing around the colors in the house w/ each season.) Instead of using the dryer, I put wet stuff on the clothes line. I've gotten the hang of drying things in cold weather. When blankets and towels stop looking stiff and actually flap in the wind, they might be dry. Final check is taking the clothes pins off. If the cloth remains frozen to the line, they aren't quite dry.
