Yellow Goats-beard

I was pretty happy to find this flower on the side of my driveway today.  When it blooms it looks like a very large dandelion but when it goes to seed like this one has it makes a three inch head w/ an intricate pattern not found in dandelions.  I knew it was a goats-beard but didn't know why sometimes I can find it and other years not.  Turns out here it's usually a biennial - being just a rosette of low-growing leaves the first year and waiting until the second year to put up a flower stem.  Also the plant dies after blooming so it only reproduces by seed.  Gathered some seeds after I took the picture and will plant them in my designated wildflower area.  Just have to remember that I shouldn't expect to see them until 2019.
