Attended Coffee & Conversation at the library this morning. The women at the meeting had outdone themselves this time: pretty bars infused w/ a layer of lime, crisp ginger snap cookies w/ little chunks of ginger added, gooey caramel and chocolate layered bars, tiny candies that tasted like coffee, and lemon pound cake slices drizzled w/ icing. Of course, I had to have a piece of each so as not to slight any of the cooks. Tonight after my library duty I and Indy went for a walk around Gorgeous Gorge. Even from there I could smell the wild plum trees so we took a slight side trip to check out their blossoms intoxicating aroma. All in all, a pretty sweet day.
