Nancy and I went to church in North Carolina this morning but not at this church which is located in a cove in the mountains. The choice of Baptist churches is a bit overwhelming around here. We just picked one that was on our way out of town this morning. It was located right next door to another Baptist church. Everything was pretty normal except for the policeman that made his presence known periodically. The first time I saw him I assumed he was a member of the congregation who came in just before or just after his work. After watching him check the inside perimeters multiple times I believe he was on duty. Another first for us was watching the sermon given via video on a large screen. This church was part of a distributed congregation and, while the music and announcements were live, the sermon was not. (Good sermon though.)
