Drizzle all day and, after the sunset, the thunderstorm warnings started as banners across the TV. It had been months since we'd had a thunderstorm so I had to think a moment to remember what to do. First secure things outside. Hadn't put anything out yet on the deck and was still storing the car in the garage so no worries there. Unplug electronics. Did as many of those as practical. Then close all of the shades except the ones in my bedroom. I hopped into bed and watched the lightening flashing from cloud to cloud. That and the sound of the rising wind put me right to sleep.
