My yearly visit to the doc. This is the one where you don't eat/drink anything for 12 hours ahead of time. In the past, I'd schedule these appts in the p.m. since I worked mornings - another retirement perk to be able to get it all done early this time. I have no aches/pains and the blood work was all within the norms so the doc calculated that I only had a 6.5% chance of dying in the next 10 years. OK, that's not precisely what that number means but it certainly would grab one's attention more if the doc framed it that way.
