Muskrat

When I wake up it's still dark (of course, I'd have to stay in bed until 7:30 a.m. to wake up in daylight this time of year). My new routine is to walk outside w/ Indy for a short constitutional. I stop where the end of my lawn meets the driveway. The woods impedes my view to the west but I can see clear to a ridge of hills on the other side. I've made up an experiment of counting the number of lights I can see from that vantage point. During the summer I don't see as many lights since foliage will mask some and fog can cut the number down to zero. This morning I counted 20 - about the maximum number I can see. Sooner or later I'll break down and make a graph of the count. I never could pass up a good data point.
