Windy yesterday and I found some flower pots and my sundial had been blown off the deck. No harm done. The flower pots will come inside - freezing overnight temps for the rest of the week, I think. The sundial is metal and while it wasn't hurt in the fall, I'll have to find somewhere more secure for it overwinter. As windy as it was yesterday, those winds are nothing like what we'll get overwinter. Part of the reason the winter winds are so fierce is there are no leaves and foliage to slow things down and the wind howls over a smooth surface of snow. Listen to me .... already thinking/talking/planning about winter. Must be a Northwoods thing.
