Was sitting on the deck taking in some of the last summer rays and doing a crossword puzzle. The clue was "Common prayer starter" - 5 letters. Well, I often start my prayers w/ "Howdy" and, while it is 5 letters long, I doubted that was what they were looking for. "Hi God", "My God", "Jesus", "Allah" didn't fit. I was going to use "Christ" until I realized I spelled it wrong. Maybe something Biblical? "Our Father" was too long. Something Catholic? "Hail Mary" also too long. Gave up, talked w/ God for awhile since the subject had come up, and then worked on the rest of the puzzle. Answer - "O Lord".
