Turtleheads

Fair day... No, I really mean it ... State Fair day. A couple of friends and I met early at the fair for a day of sites, smells, and some fun. I would have said we "ate our way through the Fair" but we didn't consume that much this year. None of the food stands seemed to be all that busy and we thought it might be because it was warm and humid. A good breeze made it quite tolerable though so we minimized our time inside buildings. Did most of our usual - saw the biggest boar, checked out the butter sculptures, watched the parade, perused the creative arts, picked up free stuff at the education booths, talked to people at the political party tents, and screamed on the roller coaster. A pretty good fair day.
