Hollyhock against stone house
Indy is losing the last remnants of her extra winter hair. She's not unique. My friend's German Shepard and my neighbor's collie are all sporting a new sleek look. This means that while she blows out her old coat I find tufts of fur everywhere. I don't mind. You see, during the summer it's great to open up my bedroom windows and leave the living room door open so there is air movement through the house. However, there are bear around - saw one tonight in my meadow - and I might be afraid to just have a screen between me, asleep in my bed, and the denizens of the dark. Not w/ Indy around. She's on guard all night long. So what if my security system sheds a bit - small enough price to pay.
