Juvenile Bobolink

Got an e-mail last night from a friend who said the sermon that morning was on sin and hell and she thought immediately of me (well, that's a different story). Anyway, got me wondering why she hadn't given me a call to go w/. I checked my phone for messages. Oops - no phone. I initiated and ever more frantic search for it throughout the house and car but couldn't find it. I have a 3:40 a.m. automatic alarm set on it for Monday - Friday so thought I would just listen for it this morning. However, I have been turning it off lately because of the guests I've had in the house. So when I didn't hear it, I was still no closer to locating it. However, I think better in the morning and remembered I had sat out on the deck Saturday morning. I turned on the outside light and there it was sitting on a table on the deck ... in the rain. Fortunately, while phones don't do so well going through the wash cycle, this one did just fine sitting outside through two days of on and off rain. I will take comfort in the idea that I'm definitely not "glued" to my phone.
