Indy and I had just started out on our walk yesterday. She was ahead of me and turned the first corner when I heard a growl. Think it was Indy and not the bear she had come across. All I ever saw of the bear was it's back. I heard it run down the hill, splash across Gorgeous Gorge, and up through a ravine on the other side. Indy chased it a short distance and then returned to me. Actually, I'm glad we came across this bear. I don't mind them around but I don't want them so at ease that they would bother the bird houses in the area. Plus if I am going to see a bear I vastly prefer a little one like this.
PROLOGUE
Indy and I came across a bear again today on the walk. This time it was by the new path Brent just made. It ran a short distance under a hemlock tree and then turned and watched us. I waved my walking stick and shouted expletives at it but it didn't budge. I finally had to walk towards it before the bear turned and ran into the slough. I'm not liking the lack of fear in this bear and, if it's the same bear, it might be a tad bigger than I thought.
