I picked a relief sculpture of birds to remind everyone that today is the start of the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) put on by the Audubon Society and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. It's free and anyone from anywhere can submit a count of birds they see starting today and going through Monday on the GBBC website. A cold front is going through and I haven't seen a bird all day - not outside the dairy, not on my drive around town, not here at my home. My brother Brent is here and went out skiing w/ the dog. He didn't see any birds out in the woods. I'm hoping for a more productive day of counting tomorrow!
