Autumn Produce redux
I walked into Aunt June's room just in time to see her throw a cup of hot cocoa at her nurse. "June!" I cried. Aunt June was NOT in a good mood. In fact, most of her ward seemed upset. A lady was walking the hall swearing under her breath. A high-pitched wail came from another room. A dish fell clattering in the dining room. June tried batting me away as I installed the foot rests on her wheelchair and I decided that letting her hold the coffee cups in her lap was probably not in my best interest. I pushed her through the halls, stole some molasses cookies, and we settled in a little nook. I regaled her w/ the news of the week as she munched on a cookie and drank her coffee. By the time she was finished all was right w/ the world again and we had an enjoyable visit. I delivered her an hour later back at her dining room where everyone seemed back to normal. I'm not sure what was going on today. Maybe a turkey-induced tryptophan high doesn't sit well w/ the older set.
