There is a path between the old woods and new woods that I call "Butterfly Alley". It is sunny, screened from the worst of the wind, and full of Joe Pye weed plants. However, all of this year there haven't been that many butterflies. Might be one of the side affects of such a cold winter. I'll be posting the few butterfly pictures I've gotten lately. On the plus side - Butterfly Alley is a buzz w/ bees this year.

A fritillary butterfly on Joe Pye weed
