Yellow Pond Lilies

New guy at work today - Justin. He will be doing the cleaning in the barn on the weekends so today Mike was training him in. After milking he was turned over to me - "fresh meat" to help w/ scrubbing. I quickly explained the overall concept, gave him a bucket, and told him to scrub the walls. I usually put new people to working on walls, little instruction is required and it's easy to see how things are progressing. Justin first asked if we had any breaks. I wasn't exactly sure how to answer. Other than the lady that took a couple of 5' breaks to smoke, no one takes any. I told him if he needed to go to the bathroom, he could do that anytime. Justin left the parlor and Juanita and I kept going. I don't know how long he was gone but when he came back, I put him back on walls. He said it was pretty hot in the parlor. I turned on the fans. Justin said his mom would be picking him up at 11:00. Around that time, I bopped outside, found her waiting in the car, and asked if I could have Justin for just a little longer. She said not a problem. I came inside and told him his mom said she could wait until he finished. Justin then said he was going to crash on the couch all afternoon after all of this work. Silently I wondered if I were a 17 year old male would I complain this much to the over 60 year old chick who was working w/ me?
