Flowers in my old wellies and a calf bucket

August is almost here and there are lots of things on my TODO list for that month. 

• Make plans to go to the State Fair (a tradition of sweating and eating junk food all day)

Order Christmas cards (I learned early that getting cards ahead of the season not only gets you a good deal on them but also gives you the best selection)

Move plants (most of my perennials have bloomed or are blooming now so after they finish I can move them to new locations while they still have time to establish themselves before first frost)

Sit back in my Adirondack chair and enjoy the sun & warm weather (summer in the Northwoods was meant to be enjoyed).
