Lunar Eclipse

Carlee was sick this morning so I milked w/ the herdsman. However, she needed to help the vet when he came to check the pregnant cows so Eric, the dairy owner, came in and finished up milking w/ me. I must say I was impressed. Not only does he rarely milk but today he got a phone call in the middle of things. He still continued prepping cows one-handed while carrying on a conversation. The person at the other end was the construction crew chief for the new calf barn. They were hoping to get the roof tresses on this morning but noticed that some of the uprights had sunk as much as three feet. They checked some others and found them loose. When they dug one out, they found the quickset cement they had sunk them into had never hardened. They were standing in just a soupy mess. After the call I asked if he needed to go out to the site and see what was going on. However, Eric said he would finish milking. He thought it was probably good to let them work out some solutions before he arrived. When you look up the word "aplomb" in the dictionary, I assume it will have a picture of Eric.
