Remember that game "Authors"? The cards have pictures of authors and at the top of each card is a title of a book they wrote. My friend, Kris, had a pack so each of us picked a card at random. Next Christmas, the gift given must relate to that book. My card is "The Wonder Book" by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Should be easy. The problem is the name of the person I have. We pick our names out of a hat and today, I remembered I should put the slip of paper away. Believe I left it in my slacks pocket but I washed them yesterday. I still have a bit of a cold so went through all those Kleenex one accumulates and tosses before washing clothes. Not there. I pulled out the lint screen on the dryer. Yep, little bits of paper were caught there - washed completely clean of any marks. Oh well, I remember the name ... for now.
