Yesterday and today I watched Lord Peter Wimsey DVD's I picked up from the library. I thought they were books-on-tape and I had a longer time to read them but noticed yesterday that they were already overdue. The series would be considered "cozy murders" where the sleuth (in this case a lord of the realm) figures out from a cast of colorful characters (all w/ motives) who killed the victim. The stories take place in England right after WWI. What I got out of the movies was that I want a butler ... or maybe a gentleman's gentleman. Brent thought having one would be somewhat impractical. However, who wouldn't want someone to lay out your clothes, remind you of your schedule, and knows just when to offer a fortifying drink on a tray. (Especially when you have a cold.)
