Brent takes Indy out w/ him when he goes skiing. They surprised some ruffed grouse sitting under trees. Watched a pileated woodpecker in a wild crabapple. Saw a hawk pursuing a little bird. Indy also caught and dispatched a squirrel in the woods. This bothered Brent. He felt a bit guilty about the squirrel's demise. I tried explaining that Indy felt she was protecting him but he was having none of it. He ignored her for awhile until she won him over w/ those big chestnut eyes and a muzzle resting on his knee. (Of course, the string of drool hanging from her mouth told me she was less concerned about his feelings than his dinner of Swiss steak.)
