Happy Thanksgiving

As I walked into the house after work this morning, I was greeted by the aroma of the soup I'd put into the crockpot before leaving. It was wonderful. Followed the plan and dinner went off smoothly. First an appetizer of bite-size cheese quesadillas. Next was the vegetable wild rice soup - lighter than the usual cream based soups w/ wild rice. The course following was a simple salad topped w/ raw onion rings and toasted almonds. The entrée was filet mignon topped w/ blue cheese and a baked potato w/ herbed butter. I decided this morning to throw in a fruit course at the end w/ blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Good thing since the idea of dessert after all of the food wasn't as appealing as when I first started. Will have the apple pie and caramel ice cream tonight w/ coffee - maybe.
