Going for walks takes a bit of bravery this time of year. I can hear shooting when I'm in the woods. I asked some people what was going on - rifle hunting season is still over a week away. Seems everyone wants to get their weapons ready. If that's what all of the shooting is about, those guns must need a lot of work. I think it's really just a buck-fever-pitch the hunters are working themselves into. One of my neighbors was bow-hunting on his land when a bullet whizzed past him. He called the police who found another neighbor "sighting in his rifle" and not being too careful about where he was shooting. You can see why I don't take any chances during the actual hunting season - I won't even go into my own woods.
