After the storm

Did errands this morning and when I made it home around noon had the afternoon to myself. Started up chili in the crockpot and bread in the bread machine. Put clothes in the wash machine and dishes in the dishwasher. Sat down and responded to e-mails I had received. Off and on I watched episodes of old westerns on MeTV - Gunsmoke, Bonanaza, Rifleman, etc. Guess I shouldn't be so critical of the portrayal of women on these shows. Sure the lead characters are men and women are just stuffed here and there in the plot. However, in those days when there weren't crockpots, bread machines, dishwashers, clothes washers, or computers, those poor women were way too busy to be shooting up the town, drinking in the saloon, or catching bad guys in black hats.
