A man came up to the library desk and asked if we had any books by Jerry Hicks. I looked up the author on the system and said there were books in the system but not at our library. I could order them for him. No - he just was curious if there were any new ones he hadn't already purchased. He asked if I had ever read any and I confessed I didn't know the author. After he left and things slowed down at the library, I looked up the books. They aren't technically "authored" by Jerry Hicks but are listed as "Spirit Writings". Jerry's wife, Esther, channels a spirit called Abraham and Jerry writes what Abraham tells her (he is listed as "alternate author"). Hadn't realized that there was a category called "Spirit Writings." Since Jerry Hicks died in 2011, maybe he'll become an author in his own right now.
