Bluebird parents

The bluebird houses are put up in pairs. The idea is tree swallows will move into one house and keep other birds away from their territory - except bluebirds, which will occupy the other house. These two houses (imaginatively named "A" and "B") are paired in the field by my house. The tree swallows have already fledged and vacated the PVC pipe house. The bluebirds are still busy w/ their brood in the wood house. The female is doing some cleaning
while the male is waiting nearby on the PVC pipe house - grasshopper ready to feed the babies. You can see one of the bluebird children, mouth agape, in the door opening. Just a typical hardworking rural couple.
