The pope says women can't be ordained because when Jesus picked his 12 apostles he only picked men. (Under that frame of thinking, all priests should also be Jews.) The Masons don't allow women into their organization because admitting women would "negatively affect the harmony of the lodge." (Women can join the Eastern Star - a sister organization to the Masons - under that old adage of "separate but equal.") The Masters tournament at Augusta National golf club won't admit women as members because it's tradition. However, IBM is a long-time corporate sponsor of the Masters and "traditionally" the CEO is offered a membership to the Augusta golf club. As of January the CEO of IBM is Ms. Virginia Rometty - a woman. I doubt even that fact won't be enough to change the club's restrictive rule. I'm not sure why men are so afraid of allowing women into their organizations. True, women are superior to men but we are so good at letting men think they are better, that they usually remain blissfully unaware.
