This morning was the Children's Christmas Program at church. The congregation started out singing carols and then sat back for the kid's program. It was a new spin on telling the Christmas story but some elements just don't change. The little boy who couldn't stand quietly in the choir; dancing around, punching his neighbor, but looking like a cherub whenever he started singing. The tiny girl who stood front and center cutely waving when she saw her parents/grandparents but eschewing doing any of her group's activities. As we walked out, my friend, Nancy, and I agreed that it was a great program. After all, do you really want to sit through a program where every child acts their part perfectly?
