Baltimore Oriole

Took a long walk through the swamp today.  Wanted to give Indy a treat since I'd been away for the weekend.  Also, because of how much the peonies next to the house had grown over the weekend, I wanted to see what was popping out in the woods.  I worried a bit as we started out that I'd sweat to death in the muggy weather.  As the mosquitoes got worse, I began to wish I put on more repellent.  When the sky turned dark and I could hear rolling thunder, I did consider taking one of the short-cuts home.  However, we kept going, swatting insects, getting drenched by the rain, and had an absolutely wonderful time.
