Making Snow on Christie Mountain

If the temp is around 30F, the ski hill checks that there is also low humidity before starting the snow making machines. If the temp is below 20F, the humidity doesn't matter, the mist of water & compressed air they shoot out will become snow no matter what. Therefore, I usually see them making snow at night when the temps are lower. By making snow, they can open for business earlier in the season - this year they hope to open Dec. 3rd. Wonder if they put as much snow on the easy runs like "Chipmunks" as they put on more difficult routes? Maybe "The Beast" run at least gets "softer" snow?
