Clouds over Christie Mountain
The herdsman brought in a cow's collar and hung it at the front of the parlor. He'd found it out in the alleyway and told us to watch for her. The computer can't "see" a cow as she comes into the parlor unless she has a collar. That means when a collarless cow comes in, all of the cows behind her will get the wrong number in the computer and we have to manually reset them. When I saw the cow about to enter the parlor, I grabbed the collar and swung it in front of the scanner. Voila- all of the cows numbers were correct! Jason, the new guy, was so-o-o-o impressed. Guess we old chicks can still come up w/ new tricks.
