I'm currently in Purgatory. I'm reading Dante's
Divine Comedy. It's split into 3 parts - Inferno,
Purgatory, and Paradise. On the surface, it's a 14
th century Roman Catholic view of the afterlife. Hell seems to be full of a lot of Italians - from city states Dante's native Tuscany disdained. Can understand the Devil & demons being in Hell since that's in the Bible. Not sure why he included mythological creatures like
Cerberus, the Minotaur, and Charon. Anyway, I made it through Inferno and have started
Purgatory but I might skip over it and go directly to Paradise. Think Vatican II said you now "can pass GO and collect $200."
