Leatherleaf

Every year I seem to find a new plant I didn't know existed out in my back yard. Found this one today in the tamarack swamp. Leatherleaf (aptly named if you touch the leaves) grows low to the ground and is everywhere in this particular bog. It's a member of the heath family and this same species also exists in Asia. Pretty cool to find it in bloom.
